Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Winner of the short video competition, Mariama Khai Fornah, organised in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone, has received a prize of ten thousand leones.
The handover ceremony was organised at the Sierra Leone Association of Journalists (SLAJ) headquarters in Freetown, following the awards ceremony held on April 17, 2026, at the Bintumani Hotel under the theme “China in My Eyes.”
The event brought together voices from the media, diplomatic, and creative sectors to celebrate storytelling that bridges cultures and strengthens international relationships.

With over 50 entries submitted, Fornah achievement speaks to dedication, creativity, and the power of telling authentic stories about cooperation and shared experiences between nations.
