Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Corruption Watch Sierra Leone has announced its collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) to monitor the upcoming public examinations, including the National Primary School Examination (NPSE), Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), and West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The organization aimed to ensure a fair, transparent, and credible examination process by deploying District Coordinators across eleven districts in Sierra Leone. According to Corruption Watch, those Coordinators will play a crucial role in monitoring activities throughout the examination period.
“In alignment with our partnership with the ACC, we are committed to ensuring integrity and transparency in the examination process,” stated Corruption Watch Sierra Leone. The organization emphasized that any individual found in possession of mobile phones or unauthorized materials within examination halls will have those items confiscated and reported to the ACC.
Corruption Watch also called upon school authorities, invigilators, and police officers at examination centers to collaborate closely with their Coordinators to facilitate a smooth examination process. They encouraged all stakeholders, including candidates and parents, to support the fight against examination malpractice.
As part of their campaign, Corruption Watch Sierra Leone aims to promote honesty and integrity as foundational elements of the country’s educational system. “Let us promote honesty and integrity as pillars of our educational system,” they urged.
In conclusion, Corruption Watch Sierra Leone conveyed best wishes for success to all candidates participating in the exams. They advised everyone to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and committed to transparency and accountability throughout the examination period.
