Africell Sierra Leone Launches CRBT With Local Artists

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Africell Sierra Leone has officially onboarded 11 Sierra Leonean artists under the management of East Coast Power Bank, led by Musician Emmanuel Rogers, popularly known as Atical Foyoh, onto its Caller Ring Back Tone (CRBT) platform, “My Tunes.”

Africell “My Tunes” services in Sierra Leone allow subscribers to set personalised ring back tons, essentially replacing the standard ringing sound with their chosen music. This service, also known as Caller Ring Back Tone (CRBT), enables users to customise their calling experience and promote Sierra Leonean artists.

The signing ceremony, held at Africell’s Head Office, marked a significant milestone in the company’s broader effort to integrate technology with the creative arts, providing a new platform for musicians to earn income and expand their fan engagement. The “My Tunes” service enables subscribers to select and set personalized ring back tones from a catalog featuring songs by the newly signed artists.

During the event, Africell’s Media Relations Team Lead, Abdul Aziz Kamara, and Digital Marketing Supervisor, Fatmata Jaria Bah, jointly highlighted the broader vision of the initiative. They described the partnership as a step toward empowerment, increased visibility, and sustainable opportunities for local artists in Sierra Leone’s music industry.

“This isn’t just about providing music for our subscribers, it’s about creating a platform that supports and elevates Sierra Leone’s vibrant and growing entertainment sector,” said Kamara.

Africell has consistently positioned itself as a supporter of Sierra Leonean talent, using its wide reach and digital platforms to spotlight emerging and established creatives. The company hinted at further developments to come, signaling its continued investment in digital innovations and the local entertainment ecosystem.

As the partnership takes off, both Africell and the artists involved are expected to benefit from increased public engagement and a deeper connection between music lovers and local content.
