Air Sierra Leone Launches Direct Cargo Flights Banjul London

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Air Sierra Leone has launched dedicated cargo flights connecting Banjul and London, a move aimed at strengthening trade, export capacity, and humanitarian logistics between The Gambia and the United Kingdom.

The new service will facilitate faster movement of perishable goods, general cargo, and essential supplies, giving exporters quicker access to the UK market while improving supply chain efficiency between the two nations.

Speaking on the development, Group Chief Operating Officer of XE Jet Limited, Air Sierra Leone’s technical partner, Sukhjinder Mann, said: “We are committed not only to passenger transport but also to strengthening export cargo and supply chains from The Gambia. The reduced connectivity time offered by our direct flights ensures perishable goods reach the UK promptly and in optimal condition.”

Mann added that the airline has partnered with Redcoat Express, a leading Cargo General Sales Agent with strong links to export markets. Combined with inbound cargo services from London, the collaboration creates a comprehensive bilateral cargo solution.

The initiative is expected to give Gambian exporters improved logistics options while supporting broader trade and economic ties with the United Kingdom.
