Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone has donated office equipment to the Parliamentary Committee on Defence, in a gesture highlighting the strong cooperation between the two countries in the field of defence and security.
The handover ceremony, held on November 26, was attended by Defence Attaché Senior Colonel PU Lin, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Defence, Hon. Alex Mattia Rogers, and other officials.
Speaking at the event, Senior Colonel PU Lin described the donation as a demonstration of China’s ongoing support for the Committee, emphasizing the longstanding friendly relations between China and Sierra Leone.
Hon. Alex Mattia Rogers expressed sincere gratitude for China’s assistance, noting that the donation reflects the firm foundation of the traditional friendship between the two nations.
The donated items included office chairs, air conditioners, and smart televisions, all intended to enhance the operational capacity of the Committee on Defence.
This initiative underscores China’s continued engagement with Sierra Leone in advancing institutional development and strengthening bilateral relations in the defence and security sectors.
