Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Deputy Energy Minister 1, Edmond B. Nonie, has disclosed a new plan of the Electricity Distribution and Supply Authority [EDSA] for improving its service after engaging with about 300 big customers out of 700.
Nonie stated that their engagement with the big customers is on how to share responsibility between EDSA and its customers, wherein customers will pay what they are supposed to pay, and EDSA will improve its service and correct mistakes made in the past.
According to him, over the next six months, EDSA will commence an operation called ‘feet on the street’ wherein a team of four engineers will be visiting their big customers to check for irregularities which they will be settling amicable.
He also stated that during the engagement with their big customers, different concerns will raised which he ensured they will look into as a way of making sure they also yield profit in their businesses. The big customers include, hotels, restaurant, supermarkets factories, etc.
