FCC Introduces AfriMoney for Property Rates and Licenses

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Mayor of Freetown, Her Worship Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr OBE, alongside Africell Sierra Leone CEO Shadi Al‐Gerjawi and AfriMoney CEO Martison Obeng‐Agyei, officially launched the FCC Property Rate and Business Licenses AfriMoney Payment System on Tuesday, 28 October 2025.

The platform digitizes the collection of property rates and business licenses, allowing residents to conveniently pay from anywhere directly via their phones using AfriMoney.

Speaking at the launch, Mayor Aki-Sawyerr OBE emphasized the importance of residents fulfilling their obligations, noting that these revenues are essential for effective service delivery.

Both CEOs highlighted the collaboration between Africell, AfriMoney, and the Freetown City Council as a significant step toward enhancing service delivery and strengthening partnerships.

They also commended the FCC’s ongoing sanitation initiatives under the #DortiMusGo campaign.
