Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Health For All Coalition Sierra Leone, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), has successfully concluded a monitoring and evaluation engagement on the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign.

The exercise was carried out in four districts—Moyamba, Bo, Kenema, and Kailahun—where the HPV Multi-Age Cohort (MaC) and Switch Dose Campaign is currently being implemented. It focused on assessing progress, identifying challenges, and strengthening strategies to ensure increased uptake of the HPV vaccine.

As part of the initiative, members of the Technical Working Group (TWG) on the HPV MaC and Switch Dose Campaign joined the discussions alongside District Health Management Teams (DHMTs), School Health Clubs, and representatives from the media. Their involvement provided an opportunity to review field experiences and highlight the role of community structures in raising awareness about HPV vaccination.

The engagement underscored the importance of collaboration in protecting adolescent girls against cervical cancer and ensuring the success of the nationwide vaccination campaign.
