
Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Minister of Health, Dr. Austin Demby, on Friday 25th April 2025, launched a chapter of the African Institute of Public Health Professionals (AIPHP) in Freetown, which marked another milestone in the history of public health in Sierra Leone.
This initiative marks a significant moment not only for Sierra Leone, but also for the country’s collective commitment to improving public health across the African continent.
According to Dr. Demby, the event reflects not only a celebration of personal achievement for the new inductees, but also a bold step forward in the nation’s public health journey.
“The formation of this chapter is a testament to our collective commitment to strengthening health systems through professionalism, peer learning, and evidence-driven collaboration,” he stated while officially launching the AIPHP chapter.
