Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Ministry of Health of Sierra Leone, through its Communications Unit, has announced an “End of Year Media Gala and Awards Night” to recognize outstanding reporting on sexual and reproductive health issues in the country for 2025.
The awards, open to journalists across radio, television, newspapers, and bloggers, aim to appreciate the media’s strong partnership with the Ministry while celebrating cutting-edge journalism that has contributed to public awareness and informed discussions on health matters in Sierra Leone.
Entries are now being accepted, and journalists are encouraged to submit their stories to [email protected] between 10th and 21st November 2025
The awards ceremony is scheduled for 4th December 2025 at the Bintumani Hotel in Freetown, starting at 8:00 PM.
The Ministry of Health said the gala and awards night will provide a platform to honor excellence in health reporting and strengthen collaboration between health authorities and the media in promoting accurate and impactful health information.
