Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. During the Ministry of Communication, Technology, and Innovation Digital Government Summit 2025, the second day of the summit at the Freetown International Conference Centre, Mohamed Turay from the Lorenzo Gorvie Momorial Secondary school won the Educube Debate Competition challenge at the Tech Summit 2025.
The Educube container with computers, STEM labs, or a library, won by Mohamed it’s a place that is solving an urgent problem: reducing inequality and taking knowledge transformation to people and places that are otherwise forgotten.
Furthermore, the visionary behind the Educube Hub was envisioned by Monica Jackson, who shares her story on stage at the 2025SLInnovates: Digital Government Summit.
“I come from Kono, and when I was going to school, we didn’t have access to a laptop. My team and I are giving back to the remote villages.’’
Additionally, Mohamed won a fully equipped 20ft Educube Hub for his school with

And to support their continued learning, each of the top three finalists also receives a personal laptop to aid learning.
