Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) has launched a three-weeks training on Economic Inclusion Implementation Procedures and Processes in a bold move to strengthen inclusive development and delivering on national social protection priorities.
The program draws participation from Coaches, Business Development Officers, NaCSA field and headquarters staff across Sierra Leone, which was hosted at West End Palace in Freetown.
This capacity-enhancement effort is part of NaCSA’s wider roadmaps to improve their operational delivery and heighten impacts at community level. The training plan dives into practical themes such as planning, entrepreneurship, financial inclusion strategies, result-driven monitoring frameworks, targeting beneficiaries and livelihood support.
The commissioner of NaCSA Ambassador Ernest Mbaimba Ndomahina who is actively involved in branding the institution, promoting staff welfare and strengthening partnerships for social development and disaster response served as the keynote speaker during the opening ceremony. He brought into focus the programs coordination with that of Presidents Bio’s agenda for transformation.
Ambassador Ndomahina continued by saying that “our gathering here fully corresponds with President Bio’s transformation agenda. This is a call to all institution and citizen to add meaningfully to the nation’s development and progress. Here at NaCSA, we have embraced this challenge, and we are going to ensure that every intervention we lead contributes to the goal of creating 500,000 jobs all over Sierra Leone.
Mr. Idris Turay, Senior Director and National Coordinator for the National Social Protection Secretariat (NSPS) highlighted the critical importance of contextual execution and community ownership.
The program incorporates hands-on group exercises, field-based simulations, technical deep-dives, and collaborative planning workshops which was delivered through a participatory learning model.As Sierra Leone strengthens its social safety net architecture and doubles down on economic empowerment, this training marks a watershed moment. It reinforces NaCSA’s commitment to building the right systems, nurturing capable personnel, and embedding accountability to achieve inclusive, equitable, and lasting outcomes.
