Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. President Julius Maada Bio has observed his 2023 Eid Ul-Fitr Prayers at Jamatul Ilmu-Zikr Mosque in Hill Station, Freetown.
The event will be the last under the President’s first term in office.
Sierra Leone will go into its multi-tier elections in June where Bio is seeking re-election for a second term in office. He faces competition from the opposition All People’s Congress (APC) candidate, Samura Kamara.Taking to his Twitter page, Bio wrote; “Today, Friday 21/04/2023, I performed the EidUlFitr prayers with my Muslim brothers and sisters at the Jamatul Ilmu-Zikr Mosque at the Hill Station Community in Freetown.
“May the blessings of Allah (SWT) be with you and your family on this joyous day of Eid.
“May this Eid mark a new beginning of greater prosperity, success, and happiness in our beloved Land That We Love, SierraLeone.”
