Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Sierra starlets have bowed out of the WAFU Tournament after two defeats from Liberia and Guinea in the 2024 WAFU Tournament. This defeats, combined with earlier results, left the team with 3 points, having won only one out of their three matches.

The Liberia U-20 female team earlier secured a 7-0 against the starlets to earn them a spot in the semifinals of the WAFU A U-20 Women’s Tournament.

The Sierra Leone National U20 Female team on yesterday Saturday, May 25 faced a disappointing exit following a 2-0 defeat to their Guinean counterparts in their third Group B match.

The match against Guinea was decisive for Sierra Leone’s hopes of advancing, but despite their best efforts, they were unable to secure the needed victory.

The team showcased moments of resilience and determination throughout the tournament, but ultimately fell short of progressing to the next stage.
