Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has officially released the list of players selected to represent the national team, Leone Stars, in the concluding fixtures of the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers.
The announcement comes as Sierra Leone prepares for decisive matches that will determine the country’s standing in the qualification campaign.
According to the SLFA, the squad was chosen based on form, fitness, and tactical requirements set out by the technical team.
The squad also features a mix of established international players and domestic talents.

Sierra Leone is set to play two qualifying matches in October and September:
Guinea-Bissau vs. Sierra Leone: Scheduled for 8th October 2025 at 16:00 HRS GMT. The match will take place at the Samuel Kayon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia, Liberia.
Djibouti vs. Sierra Leone: Scheduled for 12th September 2025 at 19:00 HRS GMT. This match will be held at the Larbi Zaouli, Casablanca, Morocco.
The qualifiers are seen as a critical moment for Sierra Leonean football, with hopes that the team can build on previous performances and strengthen its bid for a place at the global tournament.
