“We Opened the Portal Four Times, But Schools Fail to Submit WASSCE Entries” – Education Minister

Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. They Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education Conrad Sackey said that they open the WAEC Portal Four Times for Schools to submit their entries For WASSCE Pupils but school authorities fail to submit despite a final reminde.

Speaking at the Government weekly Press Conference, Minister Sackey said WAEC in Ghana introduced the yearly CASS Online System in 2016 and highlighted the necessity of uploading CASS data yearly for three years before exam registration.

The Minister emphasized that if you fail to upload CASS in each of the three years, the system will not allow you to register.

Minister Sackey said WAEC provided training for school heads including tutorials and handbook manual

He revealed that 173,000 individuals uploaded on the CASS portal, with 248 schools failing to comply. Out of this number, 49 schools submitted data to the Ministry, which amounts to 13,000 pupils.

Assured measures are being taken to address the issue and they will inform the public accordingly
