Africa-Press – Sierra-Leone. Sierra Leone Youth Ministry has Commenced the engagement of 7 coatsal districts on the Youth in Fisheries Project staring with the Moyamba District
The engagement was an initiative that sought to empower and impact livelihood and financial inclusion for the youth in fishing.
The engagement in Moyamba showcased the dedication of district stakeholders in selecting beneficiaries and establishing fishing youth cooperatives, contributing to job creation and addressing youth unemployment.
The Minister of Youth Mohamed Orman Bangura states “I am truly impressed by Moyamba’s commitment to empowering young people and creating a positive impact in society,”
He further revealed that the Ministry will distribute 50 boats with all necessary accessories, funded by the recovery from the previous 70 boats.
Moyamba was acknowledged for its outstanding performance in payments as they set a remarkable example for other districts.
