Africa-Press – South-Africa. The Hawks have called for the public’s help in finding the suspects behind the murder of a Cape Town police officer more than six months ago.

The 41-year-old off-duty police officer, who was stationed with National Parliament Protection and Security Services, was murdered on Tuesday 7 September 2021 in Victoria Street, Parow.

He had been sitting on his front porch with his cousin at the time of the shooting at around 15:30.

According to Hawks spokesperson Zinzi Hani, the shooters fled the scene in a red “Mk 1” VW Golf.

“Anyone with information about the suspects’ whereabouts can call the investigation officer, Sergeant Cheslyn Christians on 079 880 9841,” added Hani.
