Africa-Press – South-Africa. National Coloured Congress (NCC) MP Fadiel Adams has laid a criminal complaint against National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola, accusing him of nepotism.
Adams accuses Masemola of employing several of his close family and friends to positions within SAPS.
The MP said he has the evidence to prove it.
Adams said that Masemola hired at least six relatives and friends to the police.
He also said the issue was not a simple “HR matter” that could be reported to the Public Service Commission, it must be investigated.
“It cannot be an HR matter if it keeps on happening. That tells me that HR is compromised, that HR is captured and controlled. How do you get six of your family members and an alleged girlfriend into high positions, some of them with no experience, one of them with criminal allegations hanging over her head?”
Adams, who stands accused of mishandling classified information by Mkhwanazi, also laid a perjuring complaint against the KZN top cop.
He said that Mkhwanazi’s July press conference was to “save his friends”, like Crime Intelligence boss, General Dumisani Khumalo.
