Africa-Press – South-Africa. A Durban homeowner poured boiling water on an armed intruder when she found him in the kitchen of her home over the weekend, according to police.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Colonel Robert Netshiunda, said the man broke the kitchen door and entered the house.
He had a knife in his possession, he said.
“The victim poured boiling water over the suspect as she screamed for help. The suspect ran to the front lawn, writhing in agony, and died of his injuries a short while afterward,” Netshiunda added.
Berea police are investigating an attempted robbery and an inquest.
