Africa-Press – South-Africa. The Eastern Cape government has conveyed condolences to Premier Oscar Mabuyane and his family following the death of his mother, Nolandile Mabuyane.
The 79-year-old died on Monday morning after a long illness.
She was affectionately known as Mambathane and is remembered as a woman of faith and dignity.
The provincial government said it would continue to support the premier and his family as funeral arrangements are finalised.
Khuselwa Rantjie, Eastern Cape government spokesperson: “Her legacy is reflected not only in her family but also in the countless lives touched indirectly through the leadership and public service of Premier Mabuyane.”
