Africa-Press – South-Africa. The South African Council of Churches (SACC) has commemorated Freedom Day by signing an anti-corruption covenant.
The council held a church service today at St George’s Cathedral on Wale Street in Cape Town.
It said it has taken a firm stance by declaring corruption a moral sin that will be condemned from all its pulpits.
The SACC’s General Secretary, Reverend Mzwandile Molo, said that members of all affiliated churches are encouraged to resist and expose corruption.
He said that the covenant represents the council’s commitment to playing its part in the fight against corruption.
