Africa-Press – South-Africa. The Hawks’ serious organised crime investigation team – probing cases from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) – is looking for families and relatives of apartheid crime victims.

Some of the victims reportedly committed suicide while in detention, and police allegedly shot others during attempts to escape arrest.

The victims died between 1963 and 1988. The bodies of some victims were never recovered after their deaths.

Here’s what we know about them, where they were last seen, and the cause of their deaths.

Victims’ bodies not recovered

Police urge anyone with any information about the deceased to contact Colonel MB Nkuna on 071 330 2219 or alternately email [email protected].
