Kruger National Park calls for caution as several roads are flooded

Africa-Press – South-Africa. Guests travelling to and from the southern part of the Kruger National Park have been advised to avoid gravel roads.

A spokesperson, Ike Phaahla, said that, due to heavy rains in and around the southern part of the park, several roads had been closed.

Guests were advised not travel on any roads which had been closed.

“They must not attempt to cross any low water bridges as the dangers of being washed away are high. Visitors can’t access the Crocodile Bridge Gate and the Malelane Gate due to the flooding of the Crocodile River, and several other bridges are currently overflowing [sic].

“The rain forecast for Thursday remains high. Caution should always be exercised on the roads. SANParks will continue posting updates when information changes.

“Guests who need to postpone their booking within the duration of the floods will be given the option of an immediate date change or a credit on their profile to use at a later date,” Phaahla said.
