Africa-Press – South-Africa. A 28-year-old man was jailed for life, plus 26 years, for the rape of three teenage girls on three separate occasions in a Limpopo village.

Dineo Prince Sekgobela was sentenced in the Tzaneen Regional Court on Tuesday in connection with the November 2016 rapes in Rikhotso Village.

According to police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, the court found that he had broken into a house and found a 17-year-old girl sleeping there, together with her siblings.

Armed with a knife, he threatened them and raped her in front of the younger children.

A week later, Sekgobela broke into another house in the same village and found another 17-year-old girl sleeping there. He also threatened her at knifepoint and raped her, Mojapelo added.

“Two days later, on 21 November 2016, the accused went to another homestead in the same village and knocked at the door, pretending to be asking for water. He then forcefully entered the house and raped the 14-year-old victim,” Mojapelo said.
