Africa-Press – South-Africa. Johannesburg Mayor Dada Morero has announced plans to construct a new water reservoir to address the city’s persistent water supply challenges.
He made the announcement on Wednesday, during his State of the City Address at the Joburg city council in Braamfontein.
The city has come under fire for failing to upgrade its water infrastructure and keep up with growing demand.
Morero said that the new reservoir would significantly strengthen Joburg Water’s capacity to keep taps flowing.
