Africa-Press – South-Africa. Three people have been killed following a shooting in Tongaat, north of Durban, on Friday night.
Paramedics received a call for assistance at 21:00, IPSS Medical Rescue said.
Police spokesperson Thenjiwe Ngcobo said the men were shot while sitting outside business premises in Tongaat.
“Reports indicate that the deceased were sitting outside when unknown men alighted from a vehicle and fired shots,” Ngcobo said.
The three men had multiple gunshot wounds.
“Sadly, two of the men were declared dead on the scene,” IPSS said in a statement.
The third man was found in a critical condition, with multiple gunshot wounds to the head. He was stabilised on the scene, but he later died in hospital, Ngcobo said.
Tongaat police are investigating three cases of murder.
