Africa-Press – South-Africa. Two

women were killed and 10 other people were injured in an accident involving a

bus and car in Durban on Friday.

ALS

paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson said they had arrived on the

“horrific scene” shortly after 06:30.

“It

involved a bus, light motor vehicle and multiple pedestrians in the Alice and

Russel Street areas. Paramedics arrived on scene to find total carnage after

two vehicles collided and pedestrians were involved.”

He

said paramedics could not save the two women.

He said:

Jamieson

added that the accident had caused a severe traffic backlog.

“There

is heavy traffic, and the scene is taking up three lanes in the CBD. We advise

motorists to avoid the area at all costs.”
