Africa-Press – South-Africa. Hijackers shot and injured two children in a car in Dennilton, Limpopo.

According to Silverton police spokesperson Warrant Officer Isaac Mculu, the children are recovering in hospital.

Mculu said the armed gang made off with the hijacked car on Tuesday.

The car tracking company was only able to trace the vehicle on Wednesday morning.

“The signal was seen in Mahube (in Mamelodi),” said Mculu.

A car chase ensued between the hijackers, the police and the tracking company on Wednesday morning.

During the chase, a police car was involved in a minor accident.

Mculu said the hijackers abandoned the car and managed to get away in another vehicle.
