Africa-Press – South-Africa. Proteas batsman Rassie van der Dussen has been ruled out of the final Test against England due to a broken finger. Van der Dussen fractured his left index finger during the second Test at Old Trafford, which South Africa lost by an innings and 85 runs.
He sustained the injury while fielding on the opening day, but soldiered on in the match, even scoring 41 in South Africa’s second innings. Cricket South Africa said Van der Dussen will return to South
Africa to consult a finger specialist, who will then guide on further medical management. Lions all-rounder Wiaan Mulder has been added to the squad. The final Test starts at The Oval in London on 8 September.
