They have braved the cold and wet Cape Town weather to participate in COSATU’s Labour Day event on Thursday morning.
May 1 is commemorated across the world to focus on conditions in the labour sector.
The day is a reminder of the historic struggles for fair working conditions and workers’ rights.
Surrounding communities have also joined the celebrations, with various artists also expected to perform as part of the festivities.
