Winde wishes WC matrics well for finals: ‘This is the launchpad for the next stage’

Africa-Press – South-Africa. It’s the final weekend before the 2024 matric exams.

In Western Cape, more than 75,600 candidates will write the National Senior Certificate (NSC) exams in 2024.

It starts with English Home Language, First Additional Language or Second Additional Language on Monday morning.


Well wishes are streaming in for matrics, who will on Monday, begin the final stretch of their schooling careers.

Western Cape Premier Alan Winde had this message for candidates: “Good luck. May that study and that input that you put in over the years stand you in good stead.

“I wish you all the very best for the exams and a great result. This is the launchpad now for the next stage in your life.”

One hundred and twenty-three papers will be written before the exams conclude on 27 November.

The Western Cape Education Department said exams would be written at 474 exam centres and overseen by more than 1,800 invigilators.
