Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony, has called on believers across South Sudan to strengthen unity for the progress of the country.
In his message to the Muslim community on the eve of the Eid-ul-Fitr, Governor Adil congratulated the Muslim community for adhering to their norms and called for unity among believers.
“On behalf of the people, the entire government, and on my own behalf, I urge all to remain united as we strengthen the bond that links us,” Adil said.
He appealed to the citizens to continue to coexist and live peacefully.
He added that “faith in Allah among the Muslim community is what strengthens them through the fasting season.”
The governor, however, encouraged the citizens to embark on agriculture to boost the economy.
He urged the believers and Muslims in particular to reflect on their relationship with God and wish them joy as they break their fast and celebrate their day.
