Africa-Press – South-Sudan. At least eleven (11) senior government officials and lawmakers from the main armed opposition Sudan People’s Liberation Movement in Opposition (SPLM-IO) have been dismissed by President Salva Kiir Mayardit in a wave of decrees on Thursday night.

The decrees readout on the state-own South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) saw the removal of Upper Nile state governor General Abudhok Anyany Kur who was replaced by the president with James Odhok Oyiay.

In Unity State, President Kiir dismissed the Gubernatorial Advisor on Gender, Child and Social Welfare Yoane Jek Guop without naming a replacement for him.

In another decree, Kiir removed the minster of animal resources, fisheries and tourism James Tungar and replaced him with Lony Majiek.

The president went on to remove Hon. Gatluak Wichar Nyah as Rubkona County commissioner and replaced him with Dhoal Koryom Lingling.

Lingling has served as the secretary of Unity State government before outbreak of war in December 2013.

The president then removed the chairperson of the state anti-corruption commission Charles Wal and replaced him with Kuol Majiok.

In Lakes state, the president appointed Bol Akot Agok as commissioner of Yirol West County to replace Andrew Achieng who had resigned from the position last year.

He also removed the chairperson of the state employee justice chamber Majur Deng and replaced him with Lino Kum Ngor.

Kiir then appointed Angok Bol Deng and Amin Kiir as members of the transitional national parliament to replace Jesus Deng Atem and Jok Alor whose appointments were revoked by the president.

In Eastern Equatoria State, the president revoked the appointment of Karlo Peter Lolip and John Lokale Lomodo to the state legislative assembly and replaced them with Barnabas Loleng Lotumo and Joel Nanok, respective.

In Western Equatoria state, Kiir removed Hilary Claudio Musa and state lawmaker Marko Peter. Their replacements were not immediately not confirmed.
