Africa-Press – South-Sudan. President Salva Kiir on Tuesday appointed Albino Akol Atak as the new Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.
The appointment was announced in a presidential decree read on the state television, SSBC.
Akol replaces former minister, Peter Mayen Majongdit who was removed in November 2022.
The new minister of humanitarian affairs is also a member of the national parliament serving on Opposition Political Parties’ ticket.
He is also the spokesperson of the OPP and Secretary-General of the African National Congress (ANC).
