They will also play at least one more friendly with a local team before heading to Senegal for their first AFCONQ group stage fixture.

The national team will use the matches as a build-up for June 4 match against Gambian in a 2023 AFCON Qualifier. The clash is scheduled to be played in Senegal.

“The team left this evening and is scheduled to travel directly to Morocco, where they will be expected to play at least one friendly match against either Sudan or a team from Morocco,” Albino Kuek, South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) Spokesperson told The City Review.
