Africa-Press – South-Sudan. Voice of America (VOA)’s South Sudan in Focus Program managing editor, Charlton Doki, died following a motorbike accident along the Munuki-Bilpam road in Juba on Thursday, according to a close colleague.

The middle-aged veteran journalist has worked with print and broadcast media houses in South Sudan and beyond including Sudan Radio Services now Eye Radio.

The deceased’s colleague has confirmed the death.

“Dear colleagues, with a broken and heavy heart, I would like to sadly inform you all that our senior and veteran journalist, the Coordinator and editor of the VOA South Sudan in Focus Program, Mr. Charlton Doki, has passed away in the late hours of Thursday, December 14, 2023,” his colleague confirmed.

The body is currently at a funeral home in Juba awaiting a police report.
