Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The Governor of Warrap State, Kuol Muor Muor, urged Warrap State Revenue Authority officials to ensure transparency and accountability during revenue collections.
Governor Muor issued this directive during the swearing in ceremony of the newly appointed deputy commissioner of state revenue authority, Joseph Mador.
According to the Office of the Governor Press unit, Muor directed Mabor to team up with staff and boost the revenue generation in the state.
“He urged the newly-appointed deputy commissioner to corporate with staff and apply teamwork to generate resources for the development of Warrap State,” the press unit noted.
It added that the governor praised Mr Mabor and described him as energetic young person with vast experience in revenue collections.
“Governor Kuol described Anei as the energetic young person with the vast experience in revenue collection and taxation which he which will make help him to the best of his abilities,” the press unit noted.
On his part, the newly appointed deputy commissioner for revenue authority applauded the governor for the trust and promised to utilise his vast experience in reforming revenue collections for efficient services delivery.
Last year 2023, under the leadership of former governor Manheim Bol Malek, Warrap State Revenue Authority (SRA) announced that it had collected SSP 161,843,288 and $161,000 in Revenue and Personal Income Tax (PIT) from working staffs for NGOS in four months.
However, the ball is still on the court of the Governor Muor and his administrations to determine whether they will announce to the public the revenues and personal Income Tax they collected in this year or not.
