Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The Western Equatoria State Governor, Alfred Futuyo has fired and immediately appointed directors in the state ministries of finance and peacebuilding.
In the Decree seen by City Review, Governor Futuyo relieved Director of Planning and Statistics – Tambura Aquila Wamite from his position.
While he did not immediately name his replacement, the governor at the same time appointed six directors in the same ministry.
Simon Bandorak Timon was appointed as Director of Conflict Resolution and Community Dialogue with Suzan Zugu Peter getting the same position at Peace Dissertation and Monitoring with Jackino John Goni serving as director of Capacity Building and Training.
Others in the ministry of Peace Building include Mundari Alison Genaba, Director of Planning, Evaluation and Research; Veronica Ngavurngu Banda, Director – Early Warning and Responses; and Biro Kamunde Biro who was appointed Director of Coordination and Documentation.
Governor Futuyo further directed all directors General in various ministries stop reporting to the ministers who are currently on strike.
The governor’s decree came as his deputy, Kenneth Ganniko’s SPLM-IG party group, withdrew their participation in government activities. The group accused Futuyo of corruption.
Elsewhere in Central Equatoria State, Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony appointed Peter Abe as Director General – State Ministry of Finance, Planning and Investment.
The governor also appointed Kamala Abdalla Musa as the technical advisor in the ministry of general education as well as James Loku Gai (Member – State Insurance and Regulatory Authority), Clement Peter Abe (Member-State Investment Authority/Corporation), and Eresto Lasu Karania (Member – State Land Commission)
Henry Darteyo Lado Legge was appointed a member of the State Land Commission with Rita Stephen Izadin as a member of the Central Equatoria State Vision 2040.
