Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The Mayor of Juba City Michael Ladu Allah-Jabu has banned the selling of items along major roads in the capital.

In a local order issued on Thursday, Allah-Jabu prohibits petty to major businesses along the Ministries’ road between the Muduria junction and the national legislative assembly.

The ban also applies to those selling along Muduria-Juba Teaching Hospital lanes, and roads connecting the customs market area with the seventh-day and University of Juba roundabouts.

The Airport-Beijing Hotel road which extends to the seventh-day roundabout, and Konyokonyo-Mudaraat road are not an exception.

According to the order, violators will be apprehended and fined about 25,000 South Sudanese pounds for Hawkers; 50,000 for companies, , 200,000 for business owners.

Mayor Alla-jabu’s order has directed the City and Block Councils in Kator and Munuki Administrative units, law enforcement agencies and sector commanders to implement the order.
