Africa-Press – South-Sudan. South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit has named a new deputy for the Director General of General Intelligence Bureau of the country’s National Security Service (NSS).

In a decree, President Kiir, who is also the commander in chief of the SSPDF and supreme commander of all regular forces, transferred Maj. Gen. Gregory Deng Koc from South Sudan People’s Defense Forces to the National Security Service.

In another decree, Kiir appointed Major-General Gregory as the new Deputy Director-General of the General Intelligence Service (GIS) at South Sudan National Security Service. There was no reason given by the South Sudanese president as to why he had to make such changes.
