Africa-Press – South-Sudan. South Sudan President Salva Kiir Mayardit has on Friday night issued Republican Decrees dismissing the country’s minister of finance and planning, Athian Diing Athian, and minister of interior Paul Mayom Akech.
The decree read out on the state-owned South Sudan Broadcasting Corporation (SSBC) did not give reasons behind the sacking of the senior South Sudan government officials.
In a separate Republican decree, the South Sudanese head of state dismissed the undersecretary in the ministry of trade and industry Agak Achuil and appointed him as the new minister of finance and planning in a separate presidential decree. In yet another decree, President Kiir appointed Mahmud Solomon as the new minister of interior replacing General Paul Mayom Akech.
