City Council Mayor in partnership with Eden commercial Bank and Statement solution Company earlier this week paid a second trip visit to Kampala Uganda as one of the East African Regions.
In a press Statement, Michael Lado Allah-Jabu, the City Council Mayor said that the purpose of the visit was to seek opportunities regarding comparative and competitive advantage for the reorganization of markets to improve people’s livelihood economically and create alternative means for revenues as well as improvement in the City of Juba.
“I and my team from Juba City Council in partnership with Eden Commercial Bank earlier this week paid a visit to Kampala Uganda. The purpose of the visit was to seek opportunities regarding comparative and competitive advantage for the reorganization of markets to improve people’s livelihood economically and create alternative means for revenues as well as improvement in the City of Juba’’ He said.
Mayor and his team as well as their partners visited Acasia Moll Kingdom, Kampala moll, and Arena Moll carrying a survey before starting the architectural design of developing the city markets in Juba.
Furthermore, Michael reiterated that the visit was also meant to seek knowledge on how to come out with effective and attractive projects preparation to address issues related to the improvement of the city infrastructure as well as partner with the development partners in relation to the urban development of Juba City through African Development Bank (ADB), World Bank (WB), Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA), European Union (EU) and other development partners.
“Our visit was also meant to seek knowledge how to come out with effective and attractive projects preparation to address issues related to the improvement of the city infrastructure as well as partner with the development partners in relation to urban development of Juba City through African Development Bank (ADB), World Bank (WB), Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA), European Union (EU) and other development partners’’ He reiterated.
Michael added that the visit also focused on how to come up with a fresh micro master plan for Juba City Council that could allow the improvement of its urban and modern planning and development.
Michael underscored that the visit would enable Juba City Council initiate more technology in regard to estate development, establishment of urban farming, and agro-economic centers for farmers in Juba through the public, private partnership for the beautification of Juba City as planned.
However, Michael stressed out that the visit also aimed at exploring other areas of cooperation with Kampala City Authority towards partnership and initiate East African for African Mayor’s forum.
