Africa-Press – South-Sudan. The National Alliance of Political Parties has adjourned an intended political rally scheduled for Sunday.
According to a document issued on December 8, forwarded to The City Review, NAPP failed to reveal the circumstances leading to the postponement, as it merely stated they were “unforeseen.”
“The intended political rally that was planned for tomorrow, December 12, 2023, has been postponed to a later date to be communicated accordingly,” it noted.
“This change happened due to some circumstances beyond our normal control and we are looking forward to rescheduling the date anytime soon,” it added.
Although NAPP expressed disappointment with the adjournment, it stated that it will not waiver its “commitment to redefining the democratic norms and principles of the multi-party system both inside and outside of the transitional period’s current political spectrum.”
“We reiterate our public call for diversified support towards democratic transformation and implementation of the R-ARCSS in letter and spirit to enable levelled grounds for elections at the end of the transitional period,” the party stated.
