Authorities of Minia village in Adjumani town council have arrested South Sudanese nationals for alleged stealing of solar in Boroli. Ojolu Victoria, the owner of the solar said she left the solar outside charging her battery and she was sleeping in her house.
Ojolu noted that the thief was seen by a neighbor and identified her as Flora Masudio stealing the solar with the battery then making an alarm for help.
“Me I was sleeping in my house and heard people shouting thief then, I came out and found my solar was missing,’’ she said.
She added that Anyama came quietly and started untying the wires of the solar and made an alarm but he attempted to escape. Anyama was caught at Russia village in Pacahra Sub County.
“This person just started untying the solar as if it was his,’’ she said.
Anyama, the suspect said he is from Boroli to Adjumani town council to lay bricks but his money was not given by the boss and he had no transport to return to his home which made him to do the act.
Anyama appealed for forgiveness from the angry resident and asked them to forgive him. “I accept that am a thief; I had no transport to return to my settlement and stole this solar,’’ he said.
