Africa-Press – South-Sudan. South Sudan Senior Men’s National Team Defender Rashid Toha has confirmed his exit from Ugandan West Nile-based team Arua Hills.
Toha spent two seasons with Arua Hill Club in Uganda’s Arua District capital.
On Friday, he announced his departure via social media, saying goodbye to supporters and club management.
“Today I say goodbye to this magnificent club, Arua Hills Sports Club. I want to thank the chairman, the team manager and his technical members, the players, and lastly, the fans,” the club captain twitted.
The Bright Stars defender expressed gratitude to the club’s administration and his teammates for their cooperation and support during his time with the team.
“It was a pleasure working with you all, and we have created some good memories together. For that, I want to say thank you, and I want to wish the club the very best in the coming season,” he added.
The South Sudanese international joined Arua Hills from Vipers SC in 2021 and had already seen his two-year deal at the Club come to an end.
Toha has been a noticeable player of South Sudan’s first squad since head coach Stefano Cusin took over the Bright Stars since establishing himself best defenders in Ugandan premier league.
He leaves Arua Hills as Club Captain and defender with the most goals in his career.
Toha joins a list of players who have already left Arua Hills, including goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa and defenders Bright Vuni and Richard Matovu.
His next destination is unknown, although the reports indicate that Ugandan side URA FC is keeping an eye on his status.
