Residents in Northern Bahr el Ghazal call on the State Ministry of Health to locate health facilities in the localities away from the town.

Deng Dut, a local resident of Marial-baai Payam of Aweil West County said that cases of people succumbing to little illnesses are on the rise given the absence of facilities.

“If the government establishes the mobile clinic, it would be nice but we are more concerned about the cases of children especially the diarrhea,”

He added that for the State government particularly the Ministry of Health to help fix this issue which is quite soaring in the areas across the Northern Bahr El Ghazal areas.

He revealed that many people fear the dry season in the face of problems associated with it such as lack of clean drinking water which brings about the problems.

A ministry of Health official who lamented the Ministry’s stance on anonymity condition says that people need to be on alert and do what is necessary to seek the treatment no matter how grave the situation is.

“It is in the plan for the Ministry to help people sparsely scattered to move to where the health services are available. In our policy, we are interested in helping people with complicated ailments” He stresses.

According to the local health reports last month, cases of deaths among children were being blamed on mothers from abstaining visiting local clinics no matter how far distance it is located.

The Ministry plans to do more on the cases of the hard-to-reach areas such as Majook-Yithiou of Aweil East and far areas of Aroyo and Aweil West, South and North County far-flung areas.
