Africa-Press – South-Sudan. Female Journalists Network (FJN) has elected new representatives after two days of intense discussions and lobbying, inspiring hope of strengthening empowerment of female journalists in the country.
According to a statement obtained by the City Review from the network’s office page, the democratic process that took place on Thursday resulted in the establishment of the new body that will manage the organization’s affairs.
“After two days of intense discussions and elections, we present to you the successful candidates that were voted into office through a free and fair election. Congratulations to the newly elected executive members of the Female Journalists’ Network,” the statement partly read.
The new Executives includes Zahra Said as chairperson, deputized by Lella Osman, and Stella Loki as secretary general, deputized by Susan Gabriel Louis.
Sara Isaac Badigo was elected Treasurer, deputized by Abuk Augustino Anyoun; among other three members.
