South Sudan irrigation minister in South Africa for 4-day visit

Africa-Press – South-Sudan. South Sudan’s minister of water irrigation and water resources Manawa Peter Gatkuoth Gual has traveled to South African capital Pretoria where he is expected to spend four days on invitation of the South African government.

In a statement, irrigation ministry spokesman Gattiek Gatkuoth Wichar said the senior South Sudan government official was invited by the South African government via its embassy in South Sudan to visit offices of South Africa’s Kevali Chemical firm.

“The Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hon. Manawa Peter Gatkuoth has yesterday on 24th of Feb, 2022 traveled to Republic of South Africa for four-day official visit,” Gattiek said in a statement extended to Sudans Post this afternoon.

“This came months after Hon. Minister Gatkuoth was officially invited through Embassy of Republic of South Africa in South Sudan by the Chairman of Kevali Chemical Group, Mr. Bogumusa Kunene in order for him to visit the offices and facilities as part of promoting Kevali Chemical products across the continent,” the statement added.

It pointed out that Gatkuoth and “his accompanying delegation will spend four days in South African capital, Pretoria.” The statement said the minister was accompanied by a member of parliament, director of planning at the ministry, and the executive director in the ministry.
