Africa-Press – South-Sudan. South Sudan’s head of National Security Service (NSS) General Akol Koor Kuc has travelled to the Sudanese capital Khartoum just days after the head of the Sudanese army, General Abdelfattah al Burhan dissolved the government and declared a state of emergency.

Speaking to Sudans Post this morning in Juba, a senior officer of the NSS at the Blue House said the security chief was accompanied by top security officials whom he didn’t name.

“The Director General of Internal security Bureau General Akol has traveled to Khartoum and he is expected to meet Burhan and other senior Sudanese security officers,” the source who refused to be named said in Juba this morning.

“There are a lot of issues and we are concerned about the developing situation in Sudan and we consider ourselves as partners in peace and remember peace in Sudan is peace in South Sudan,” the official added.

On Monday, security forces belonging to the army arrested the Prime Minister and senior members of the transitional cabinet days after the army and senior members of the government exchanged barbs over the political deadlock on many pending issues.
